The Shepherd's Supply solicits food from the food industry , local schools, and other ministries such as Oak Mountain Missions, Complete Food Service Solutions, Bethel Baptist Church Pantry Wagon ( monthly), Moody Jr. High Beta Club food drives, Moody Middle School food drives and Acmar United Methodists Church. We also purchase foods that are in short supply.

We Transport, sort, pack and provide the food. We provide snacks to Moody Middle School and Moody Elementary School every Wednesday for children that cannot afford them. The teachers determine the need for this item.

Wednesday food service includes but is not limited to:

2 or 3 loaves of bread – sliced and un-sliced
Desserts
Chips
Can food – whatever is on hand
Rice
Oatmeal or Grits
Dry milk – if we have it
Dry beans

Each 1st time walk-in or referral client receives enough food for the client family to prepare three meals per day for five days.

Food is distributed to clients according to the size of the family. Distribution can include:

Oil
flour
cornmeal
dry milk(one box)
sugar
artificial sweetener(as needed)
peanut butter
jelly
margarine
pasta
rice
potatoes(fresh, package or can)
5 can meats
dry cereal
2 Spaghetti Sauce
4 cans of cooking soup
5 cans regular soup or ramen soup
5 packages of fresh meat (when available)
can fruit
lunch meat
sandwich cheese
bread
oatmeal or grits(1 large box)
salt
hot dogs
mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup
vegetables(can and fresh)

As needed per household:

House cleaning products
Dish soap
Soap powder
Toilet paper
Toothpaste and brushes
Personal hygiene products
Feminine products
Diapers and wipes
Pull-Ups for children
Baby powder
A & D Ointment
Cough medicine for children or seniors
